Highest Sum of Stats for Breed
This is the number you get when you add up all the gene stat numbers in parentheses. It's a measure of how a horse's stats compare to the stats of other horses of its breed. A negative total means a horse is below average for its breed, 0 is exactly average, and a positive total means a horses is overall above average for its breed. The winner is Bethany's +38 Chincoteague Pony mare! (And she thought she didn't have a shot!)
Lily's Franches Montagne came in second with a +24 stat total. Both Julie's and my horses were below average for their breeds. ;^)
Highest Sum of Total Stats
This is the number you get when you add up the larger gene stat numbers above the numbers in parentheses. It's a measure of how a horse's overall stats compare to those of all other horses on the game, and the higher the better. The winner is my Norman Cob mare with 2274 total stats!
Lily's Frenchie was second again: a very close second with a 2268 stat total. Julie's horse took a distant third, and Bethany's came in a distant dead last. XD Poor Chincoteague Ponies must've been on the short end of the stick when HI2 assigned their average stats.
Prettiest Profile Artwork
Julie's Salernitano mare is the clear winner here. No contest. We liked her so much that we retired her to our Millennium Fields.
Coolest Avatar
And Julie's Sal wins again. We love the contrast of her dark coat, white sabino markings, and rusty dapples. <3
My Norm takes second place - isn't she pretty for being a basic brown?
Bethany's bay Chino and Lily's chestnut Frenchie are tied for third.
Best Personality
Lily's Franches Montagne mare wins with zigzagging symmetric ease.
Bethany's Chinco was extremely stubborn, Julie's Sal was extremely skittish, and my Norm was extremely both. XD
And finally for the last category:
Most Similar Flute to the Horse on Mom's Page-A-Day Calendar
This category was the least clear cut. None of our birthday flutes were dead ringers for their corresponding calendar horse.
I didn't have a chance with mine. Both were heavier-built breeds, but that's about all they had in common.
Lily's weren't much of a match either. I'd say hers have mine beat though, because as she pointed out, both do have significant white facial markings.
We decided to give Bethany's Chinco second place. Even though she was a bay pony mare and the other was a chestnut Arabian stallion, at least they both had brown bodies and some white feet.
So yes, again Julie's Salernitano wins. Sals resemble Quarter Horses more than Chinoteague Ponies resemble Arabians, at least in our minds. And then the color match, while not perfect, is better than with any of the other sets. The Sal lucked out that the Quarter Horse's legs don't show so that we couldn't factor leg markings into the equation.
Congratulations, everyone! A trip to the bank and then to the pet shop in the mountains is in order. Bethany, Lily, and I all get to pick one premium companion for some lucky horse, and Julie gets to pick out a whole set. =) We'll be sure to share screenshots of the ones we choose!
