Well, after all the build up, Halloween has come and gone! My sisters, cousins, and I had a great time, both in our Disney princess costumes and our new Harry Potter sweaters and scarves. (Not at the same time, ha ha.) The movie we ended up watching: Frankenweenie! We had not seen it before, but my sisters and I quite enjoyed it. It was all I personally had hoped for in a Halloween movie: a good balance of creepy but not too creepy, some humor, and an interesting storyline. It was also amusing that the town's name was "New Holland," due to our proximity to Holland, Michigan. The real-life town is known for its colorful spring tulips and picturesque lakeshore, which couldn't be more different than the setting of this movie. XD
Also, for the record, here are this year's jack-o'-lanterns. Mom and Grandma tag-teamed on the wolf one (well, actually a coyote, according to the pattern). Our aunts carved the others.
No more amazing wild equines showed up on HI3 in the final weeks of October, so it seems we are keeping both Satin and that goofy sandstone grey, Sharky. We have taken quite a few fun screenshots of our still-very-fruitful explorations lately, though, so I will share those with you.
