Wow, has time flown! It seems like we were just celebrating Labor Day, and here it is already the second day of autumn! It's always a bit of a weather roller coaster here in the Mitten, but we're starting to think the shorts may have made their last appearances for the year. The dry, mild weather we've been enjoying this week... Man, it doesn't get any better.
Star Stable's birthday event flew by as well. They introduced a new horse breed during week 3, the Westphalian! The Westies hung out temporarily in the festival grounds but are also permanent additions at Silverglade Equestrian Center.
Here are 6 of the 7 beautiful coat variations:

Star Stable went in a dainty, dressage horse type direction with this warmblood, which sets it apart well from the other warmbloods on the game. They don't do any bucking, lip curling, extreme head-tossing, or anything else that annoys us while idling! Yay! We're not as impressed with their gaits as we were with some of the other newest releases (they're somewhat stiff-necked in my unprofessional opinion), but even so, they're quite pretty. SSO has come so far since its awkward, cartoony early generation 3 horses! We're eager to add one to the herd when they make a bazaar appearance someday.
We finished the trailblazer track with tons of time to spare. Here is the tack/clothing set.

During week 4, we got to participate in a birthday-themed iteration of the Style Riders fashion show in addition to the other fun daily activities. Here are our entries!
Finally the ridiculous cake hat saw the light of day!
The little horse party hats are so fun that we considered buying 18 of them so that everybody in the stable could wear them simultaneously. Unfortunately, they were too pricy.
We saw many Bobcats-themed entries but very few other Bulldogz-themed ones.
Maybe that's why this one did the best of any of our entries: our first ever second place!
So many others hauled out the Jorvik flag saddle pad we got free at some point, and the I <3 Jorvik t-shirt made many appearances too.
We didn't want to take this too literally and wear our starter clothes and tack (where's the challenge in that?), but never fear, we had plenty of other dated items to choose from.
Our efforts paid off: we earned both the participation ribbon and the t-shirt. Both pink in honor of Star Stable's birthday, naturally.
Cookie and Inky also reached their stat max (level 15) during the final week of the birthday event. =)

The free pinto Hanoverian could obviously not be topped, but the second-best part of the festival for us also rolled out on week 4 as the final Riding Club United reward.
